Lokahi Institute will host world-class scholars and practitioners in the study of consciousness, creativity, mindfulness, longevity, and exercise science, partnering with UC Santa Barbara, University of Hawaii, and other major research universities. We will also engage with our communities to ground our research.

Lokahi Institute is a nonprofit offering a place for inspiration, calm contemplation, harmony, and integration with local and global currents. Founded in 2020 by Tam Hunt and Jonathan Schooler, the Lokahi Institute is dedicated to improving the world through engaged science and philosophy. We are based on the lovely Big Island of Hawaii and will be building a campus on the Hamakua Coast
